Her shorts have screened at high profile national and international film festivals including: Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, Leeds International Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, International Documentary Association Film Festival, Denver International Film Festival, DoubleTake Documentary Film Festival, Black Maria Film Festival, Idyllwild International Film Festival, and as part of NYWIFT’s Film Crystal Awards, L.A. Monica’s shorts have shown on cable television, and in public venues and museums such as: IFC; MoMA; BAM; The Library of Congress, D.C.; CBS Spectacular Open Air Shorts, Times Square; WNET/13, “Reel New York”; as part of HBO, Emmy Award® winning In Memoriam New York City 9/11/01; Walker Arts Center, Women with Vision: Restless Age; September 11th: Eyewitnesses, a tribute to New York, MN; Warhol Museum; and at Picture Start, RI.


 

Sharf qualified two shorts for Official Entry to the Academy Awards®; her short on 9.11 was acquired by the Library of Congress; her other awards include: Best Documentary, Melbourne International Film Festival; Best Documentary, Long Island Film Festival; Director’s Citation, Black Maria Film Festival; Silver Award, Worldfest/Houston; and Best Inspirational Short Documentary for USA and International by the NYIIFVF (New York).
